ranma Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 Working on the Impala wagon (t.m.resin) which will be displayed with other '66 Chevrolet's. I need to find a '66 Corvair for this set as well.
retired & glad Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Nice group. I like the Chev. pickup. I had a real '66 that was green and loved that truck. I still had the original sales sticker that was placed on the windows. I was on an interstate one morning going to work and a deer ran out and totalled the front. Had to have it towed home. Found a grill and luckily a radiator and put it all on. It wasn't the same feeling driving it after that and I sold it. It had original 4:11 rearend. Back then they were farm trucks and needed the different rear.Richard
Snake45 Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Very nice! You can "make do" with a commonly available '69 Corvair, if you're not too picky about small details, and don't forget the Corvette!

Bob Ellis Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 What core kit is used for the 66 impala wagon? Revell?
ranma Posted July 25, 2017 Author Posted July 25, 2017 (edited) What core kit is used for the 66 impala wagon? Revell?I think t.m.resin used a old amt kit to make the wagon as most of the revell's 66 parts such as the front bumper, windshield, hood and interior parts will not fit,, But the chassis, engine ect will as do the tail lights and back bumper, I'm going to see if the windshield from a amt 67 Impala will fit.
