br67 Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Hi, which kit has a good representation of a C4 auto trans as used on Ford small block engines pls? Thank you
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 (edited) The Revell 1932 Ford series of kits, roadster, three window, five window, sedan, SpeedWagon....have I forgotten any versions?????Shoot me your address, I'll mail ya one (to S Africa, I've been to Cape Town, beautiful place). -RRR Edited July 23, 2017 by Rocking Rodney Rat
br67 Posted July 23, 2017 Author Posted July 23, 2017 Hey Rodney, I thought those kits had an Aode - the 4 speed trans. Can you maybe post a pic pls? Glad you liked my hometown?
Mark Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 The Deuce kits have the AOD unit. The only really decent C-4 I can recall is in the Revell John Buttera street rod kits, but it may be on the small side.
Matt T. Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Yeah, the Revell Buttera kits have a nice C-4.Doesn't the AMT '67 Fairlane GT/GTA also have one. If so, you could pirate it and still build the kit as a GTA.
br67 Posted July 24, 2017 Author Posted July 24, 2017 Matt, Fairlane is a C6. Do have any pics of the trans in the Buttera kits pls?
Rodent Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 Kris Morgan (MAD Modeling) makes a nice resin C4 with a separate pan. I don't know what his international shipping policy is though. http://www.madmodeling.com/store/ccp0-prodshow/c4.html
Matt T. Posted July 24, 2017 Posted July 24, 2017 MAD resin looks nice! Here is the Revell piece (without bellhousing, since I was mating it to a Revell '40 flathead as seen in the 1st pic). You can see the "B&M" on the trans pan in these photos.. Hope this helps. -M
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 My bad...AOD...C4...what do I know? Hot rods should have three pedals!!! -RRR
Force Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Here is another one in resin, looks like the one from the old Revell Model T's.http://www.b-n-lresins.com/shoppingopencart/Aftermarket-resin-cast-1-24-1-25-scale-model-model-Ford-BandM-C4-Transmission
