DrKerry Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Just a few that I found!!!!There is a resin cast truck that is a complete kit being sold as well, not sure if you knew about it or not???http://aitruckmodels.com/product/mack-r-700l-rubber-duck-kit/ https://www.gobytrucknews.com/rubber-ducks-legendary-truck-from-convoy/123http://18wheelbeauties.blogspot.com/2009/03/famous-trucks-rubber-ducks-truck-convoy.htmlhttps://bangshift.com/general-news/celebrity-car-death-match/celebrity-car-death-match-rubber-ducks-1977-mack-from-convoy-vs-the-blue-mule-1974-ford-from-white-line-fever/http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_9813-Mack-RS-712-LST-1977.htmlhttps://www.bigmacktrucks.com/topic/45645-original-77-rs700l-from-convoy/ https://deathproofduck.com/
DrKerry Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Welcome Henry, I want to build this one someday as well!!!!!! Good luck on it!!!!
Warren D Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 I just got the AITM Rubber Duck Mack. Nice resin kit, now all I need is the time to build it! Comes complete with decals, basically everything but paint and glue. Dave at AITM is great to deal with, I had the kit about a week after I ordered it.

Force Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 I also have the AITM resin kit and it's great...but it's a curbside with the hood closed and only the lower part of the engine, and the air cleaner isn't quite correct for the movie truck, it should be a dual hose ENDT 676 Tip Turbine air cleaner as the movie truck most likley had that engine and not the Detroit Diesel that's on the movie sound track, the air horn sound is wrong on the sound track too as the long horns the movie truck has hasn't that high pitch sound. The hood can be opened up and an ENDT 676 Tip Turbine can be found in the Mack Cruiseliner if you want to detail the kit up.

Force Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Another option is to combine the AITM resin kit with the recently re-issued AMT Mack R series.

Force Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 (edited) The Mack Cruiseliner is up for re-issue later this year and it's got the ENDT 676 Tip Turbine "Cool Power" engine the R685ST has an ENDT 675 with no aftercooler Edited July 30, 2017 by Force

Sergey Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Here is the WIP of one Rubber Duck truck^http://forum.autoinscale.com/viewtopic.php?id=2456
Sergey Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Well, the forum in Russian, but pictures talk for themselfs. It's not my model. It is from friend of mine.
Bennyg Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Hi Blackbeard. I'm doing one in 1/32. 1/25 would definitely be easier. You'd have to scratch build a straight chassis rail set up, no big deal. Also use the engine from the amt cruiseliner. Combine those bits with the AITM resin kit and you'd have a beast. Ben
