Hi there does anyone have the dimensions for an actual Drag racing staging lights? I would like to scratch build one to 1/25th scale for my diorama .Or if you have plans for a scaled down version that would be great.

I'm confused. Do you want the staging lights, or the Christmas Tree, or both?

The oft-reissued MPC '72 GTO comes with a Christmas tree.

First beam is the pre stage. The next beam is the stage beam, They are seven inches apart.

Hey, I wanted to do something like this myself so I did some research this morning. There doesn't seem to be any NHRA specs on the distance between the lights, but there is a product called a Portatree that a lot of tracks are using, and it is 6 feet tall, and the literature says that it is a full-size tree.

The christmas tree in the McEwen kit is the older style with five amber lights on top of the green and red, the christmas tree in the GTO is a more modern layout with three amber lights like the ones used today.

I'm not so sure the current (Round 2) issue GTO (orange car on the box) has the tree, or any optional parts, included.  The blue RC2 issue pictured above definitely includes the tree.
