kmc3420 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Thanks for the comments! I hope to have this one finished up in the next couple weeks, i dont get much time to work on my models with 2 little kids. Very nice job! I hear that, I have 2 little ones as well, and when you just put a dab of glue on and are holding two pieces together to dry, and they need immediate attention. Kind of funny, you cant move.
jhuntsman Posted November 8, 2017 Author Posted November 8, 2017 kmc, i cant get anything done with my 1 1/2 year old son around. As soon as i sit down at my desk he tries to take something off my desk or to sit in my lap. Hard to work on something like that haha
Rudy Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 Great job! I love that shade of blue. Are those billet-looking pulleys Kit parts or aftermarket? Thanks! Rudy
jhuntsman Posted November 9, 2017 Author Posted November 9, 2017 Rudy, i made those and the air cleaner on a lathe.
jhuntsman Posted November 16, 2017 Author Posted November 16, 2017 Here are a couple shots of the truck once i got all of the body painted. Just mocked up to see how it will look. Polishing of the bed and running boards are next then final assembly. Thanks for looking!
mikemodeler Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 Looks great and nice details, especially that dash! What color and brand paint is that? Looks very rich!
jhuntsman Posted November 27, 2017 Author Posted November 27, 2017 (edited) Mike, that is Duplicolor Electron Blue Pearl spray can from Advance Auto Parts. it is a factory Honda color. I had to dechrome the grille and front bumper as there was some flashing on them i had to sand off. I will be spraying them black then Alclad to get a nice chrome finish. I will post pics when finished. Thanks to everyone for the comments! Edited November 27, 2017 by jhuntsman
