kelson Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Very nice, can you give us a little info on the car?like exterior color you used?
bbowser Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I'm not crazy about the big wheels, but I know a great model when I see one. Nice job!
espo Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Great build. While the wheels seem a little large to some that is a popular style still. The interior looks very nice also.
dragstk Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Nice build on a car you dont see customized a lot. I like it. Some details of the build would be great
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 Thanks for the compliments. I'm not crazy about the big wheels, but I know a great model when I see one. Nice Thanks Bruce. I know bigger wheels are not everyone's cup of tea but in most cases I prefer something a little bigger than 14" or 15" and slightly lowered. Gives a car a better stance IMO. For this build I didn't want to go with mags or anything 5 spoke and nothing too blingy. I settled on these wheels because they kind of remind me of the '68-'69 Ford GT wheels.Very nice, can you give us a little info on the car?like exterior color you used?Nice build on a car you dont see customized a lot. I like it. Some details of the build would be greatThanks for asking. I call it The CouGRRRR. The exterior is Tamiya Metallic Orange and clear rattle cans. I removed all scripts, emblems, marker lights and door handles from the body and boxed in the engine compartment. The 5.0 "Coyote" engine is from the Revell 2014 Mustang GT. Interior is Rustoleum Satin Warm Caramel and Testor flat tan, scratch built door panels, modified seats from Revell's 90's Cougar, MCG steering wheel, '14 Mustang shifter and brown embossing powder for carpet. The wheels are Aoshima 19" (not that big) VIP Modular VXS210, staggered with parts box sleeves in the rear. The exhaust is scratch built. For the tail lights I foiled the lights, painted them with Testor's Stop Light red. When dry, I scratched off the paint from the ribs. It's not flawless but I like it and was good enough to win the Street Machine class at the Tabletop Cruisers' Supercruise show this weekend. I'm glad you guys like.
