I'm about to start the retro muscle cars of the big 3. Already did the showroom replica of the 2010 camaro as. It was ok... rather have done the full kit and I will eventually. Now I'm doing the 2010 shelby gt500... kit looks great out of the box. Not a whole lot of clean up needed. Molded very well. Doing the stang in black chrome/true blue pearl mix. Black and red interior. Can't decide if I want to do white stripes with thin red lines on each side.... or if I want to use silver stripes... we'll see. After this will be the challenger and a charger.

They all look mighty good but I really prefer the days of chrome coachwork, white-lettered rubber, and an exhaust tone that rattles the fillings in my teeth......

absolutely! There's certainly no replacement for a piece of art like that. I'd love to have a chevelle like that 69. The chevelle aged very nicely. For the most part anyway. I think they were ugly in their beginning. Also nothing beats looking under the hood and seeing another work of art all in itself. Now it's all plastic covers covering everything up to make it loom "clean and organized".

Great idea Jeremy. I tried that with 1956 (my birth year) as a theme but stalled on the Ford, and have to rethink the Chevy because I used the old kits with all of the poor quality that came with them.

Maybe I'll finish those and then do a updated matching set like you're doing next year. Have fun!

this is the chevelle concept I've seen and quite honestly don't hate it. I hope they don't reinvent the chevelle because it will tarnish what the car is in my opinion. It's iconic. It's a car that never really bought into the corporate America scene. That's how it should stay.

thanks! I'll post pics soon. I've wanted to do this for a while but I still have to get the challenger and charger. And still want to get the camaro that's not the showroom replica.

They look cool to me but I am an old school muscle car guy....60s through mid 70s era.  I have many of them just wish I could find the parts they need and get them restored.

yeah I agree. Though I think a lot of them got weird in the 70's.

Absolutely mean looking machine, except for the blacked out headlights.  I had a 65 SS 283 4 speed, loved it, wrecked it, and my dad sold it before I could get the money together to rebuild it.  That one just might make me reconsider my affinity for Fords.  But it has to be rear wheel drive.

I  agree. Absolutely HAS to be rear wheel drive. It'd  be a travesty if it weren't.

I agree with you. I had a red 69 Malibu years ago, loved that car. Wish I still had it.

Well after shooting the true blue pearl/black chrome over a black base I decided I didn't care for the depth of the color on the mustang. Instead I went with deja blue over the black base. I'll be using the silver stripes and doing the interior satin black/ satin apple red/ silver.

Nice color. I like how it's taking off.

Thank you! Ive taken the summer off. But feel some creativity flowin! Chillier weather here in NH makes it easier to sit on tinker inside vs outside... gotta finish the firechicken after this I think.
