ericmaxman Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Hi Guys. I have completed this model already. I am relatively pleased with how it turned out. See the pic for details. Feedbacks are encouraged.
3men2s Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Nize build....with gas prices going up, man I wich I had one. love the color, champane, looks cool man. Not your typical hot rod but thats the sign of whats coming. I just saw my friend that use to drive a big beautifull truck, and now is driving a compact........ I never thoght that I will be staring at a electric car like I look at a VIPER COUPE ...........enjoy your ride and keep on building
george 53 Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 great lookin build, Eric. Nice paint. Is it a Mitsubishi Colt? I've never seen one.I guess it must get 100 miles per gallon hu?
ericmaxman Posted June 20, 2008 Author Posted June 20, 2008 great lookin build, Eric. Nice paint. Is it a Mitsubishi Colt? I've never seen one.I guess it must get 100 miles per gallon hu? Thanks. Yeah. It was supposed to be a Sport-X version, but the side skirts and spoiler is so crappy that I'd opt for a plain vanilla version. The car is 100% OOB. No mods whatsoever. The powerplant is a 4G15, so there won't be any 100 miles per gallon. If Mitsubishi decides to steal the Prius's market, then maybe there will be some hope. btw, this car shares the same platform as the Smart forfour.
Jello Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Thats funny, I was expected to see one of those old late '70s Dodge Colts and I know they used Mitsubishi engines but I never knew they were still building them! Great job and looks fantastic! ~ Jeff
ericmaxman Posted July 5, 2008 Author Posted July 5, 2008 what brand is tht model? tamiya? It's a Fujimi.
Gregg Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Great job! Only thing I would add would be some door panel color, to bring out the depth of the door openings. Usually, a wash of thinned down black works great, but in this case, the lighter color, a grayish color or mix of the body color and black would be perfect. Check out the real car pic, you can see what I mean. It helps the illusion of the eye that makes it look more like a real car. My two cents.
Joe Handley Posted July 6, 2008 Posted July 6, 2008 Wow, so that's what they're doing with the Colt since removing it from eh US market.
