We got all our details taken care of. Im a bit late in sending mine due to a state patrolman causing me a week without finances. But all will be well in just a few more days. As for the kit I'm sending. I made sure its something a little out of the comfort zone.

For me, I knew Dave has a pretty big stash of kits, from what he posted in the Pay It Forward threads so I wanted to find something I hadnt seen him post, hoping he didnt have one. Also, when I sent my shipping info to Dave, I told him what I liked and then asked him for his likes and shipping info. He told me what he liked so I tried to find something that fit in those parameters. Turned out I didnt really have anything I felt he'd like or wasn't likely to have so I actually bought a new kit from a US vendor and had it shipped direct to Dave. Cost turns out to be pretty much exactly what it would be to send a kit from the stash plus shipping. Just hoping he hasnt rushed out to buy some of these, cause it's actually a new release.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone gets.

I got the package yesterday. I didn't open it because I never heard of the company that sent it to me. I figured it was a mistake, and didn't want to be disappointed that I had to send it back, has happened to me before. I read your message this morning , and figured it was from you. WOW what great surprise.

And here it is great and will start working on it today, plus no work for the next 3 days.

Glad it arrived safely Dave. And looking forward to what you do with it. Mine from you is sitting in Customs at the airport it looks like, so pending on if it gets processed today I could have it as early as tomorrow, but will likely be Tuesday.

Ooohh, pretty! Can't wait to see what's inside that box. I tried to get my package off to Jason yesterday but didn't make it to the PO by the Noon closing time. I'll get it out first thing on Monday.

Yep stockboresme went out last week. We decide it just needed to be something with 4 wheels. So with that I picked something that I seen built several different ways but would like to see a fresh twist on.

I'm excited! Drum roll, please....

I have had this kit and the custom version (and actually have a pre-painted body at home) in the past but sold them off before building it. Now I get a chance to do what I should have done a long time ago. Looking forward to it!

Nice. Love the Woodys. I'm sat at the airport all weekend and was just sent to Customs this morning. Should clear today and then be sent on to the local distribution center later today. Fingers crossed I should have it in tomorrows mail. And I've got tomorrow and Wednesday off....a chance to start yet another new project.

After just a few minutes of searching for ideas I believe I have found something that, not only have I not done, but I don't think I have seen on this site.

I am excited about this! Now for more research and a stop at the local train hobby store. Interestingly enough there is a connection for me. Most here don't know that I was a conductor and engineer with the Alaska Railroad for 11 years.

Got mine in the mail today. Extremely happy with the outcome. The body will be mostly stock with a heavily modified frame. A twin blown hemi from the 53 studebaker kit, and most likely the foose fd100 wheelset20171016_190624.thumb.jpg.4151c4372a218a20171016_190608.thumb.jpg.60bb152d018b72

I won't post every update here, but this is where I'm at so far. Removing the "wood" panels in place of some real wood.

I going with a  kind of a Resto Mod style build. Going to remove the parking light, door handles, and fill the holes for the mirrors. I am using the Foose wheels & tires from the 67 Coronet, and debating if I want to try and do a vinyl top mod top style, have never done that before.

Wow, is this thing going off! I got your kit in the mail to you brother Dan. I didn't get as diabolical as I would have but I think you are going to be pleased.

Built well? You are too kind my friend.

My Mums had a stroke last Tuesday. She is making great strides and is doing well so I think I can get back to the Countach as well as this Swap N Build. The time constraints should not be a problem since I had a clean slate except the Countach. That is getting ready for the paint booth and the interior is done. But when it first happened I was manic of course so everything but showers and clean clothes were the only other things I could even consider for myself.

Cannot wait to see what you sent Dan. I think we may be the only two who didn't bother to ask what the other liked and just sent what we wished to see the other build. In that spirit I hope you find what I sent a fun challenge.

Got my kit in from Dave today.

1987 ASA Champ #52 SAI Lane Automotive Camaro

Will build this one OOB, mostly since I cant find too many reference pics of cars from this era. A few exterior shots but nothing really for the interior so I'll add a few details.

Looking forward to the progress of others. Thanks Dave.

Totally agree Bob! As I said, your builds are diverse, but I haven't seen you do anything like this one yet. Hopefully you like it!

Great news about your mom, great to hear that she's recovering nicely. And don't worry about any delays. What you have going on there is 1000X more important than anything going on around here!

But now that we know everything is looking good, you have no excuses. Now hurry up with that awesome Countach build. lolz
