grant_3250 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Purchased as a semi-complete model for $10 AUS at a market in a ziplock bag marked 'early Chevy'. Got it home and with a little research, found it was an AMT 36 Plymouth Early Modified. The previous modeller had used superglue on most parts, however because it was a race car I wasn't to stressed about a polished rebuild. What started out as a 'quick' rebuild ending up including: custom decals, weathering, engine wiring, scratch built front roll cage and grill and custom exhaust manifold (exhaust was missing from kit). A really fun kit to re-build. Constructive criticism welcome and encouraged.
James2 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Nice looking model. That's a tough kit to make look good, but you did it.I have shortened that tail before for an even better look.
Foxer Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 That's cool! You can't go wrong restoring an old modified ... that's how they looked!
DrKerry Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 LOVE IT!!!!!!!!! Great rebuild Grant, looks awesome on my end!!!!!!! Like James said, a shortened tail would look good too but they way you did it looks great too!!!!!!!
