Reuhkapelti Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 (edited) Here is another Mini with a little bit different engine bay. I snitched a V6 from a Ford Sierra XR4 and shovelled it into this tiny Mini. It needed some boost, so a big turbo charger with the intercooler was added in too. My Mini is rear wheel drive, the axle is from Toyota Hilux pickup. The doors are a bit longer than original, no real reason for that, I just wanted to do so. I added some Summit stickers on the body, as you probably have noticed. The plain green paint looked dull to me, so I figured this Mini could be a Summit promo vehicle. And they are stickers, not decals, and quite tricky to get them to settle to the body. Maybe a little heat could have helped, but I did not try that. As always, comments are welcome, thank you. StockBoresMe Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Super cool. Did you do the widebody or did it come like that?
Reuhkapelti Posted October 7, 2017 Author Posted October 7, 2017 (edited) Thanks! This was just an ordinary Fujimi model Mini, and yes I made those wide fenders. The original hood/ bonnet got lost after I had cut it open, so I had to make a new one from Evergreen sheet. Edited October 7, 2017 by Reuhkapelti
shoopdog Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 Quite an impressive Mini! Body work turned out very well.
donb Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 That would certainly haul butt! Nice work. Very cool
'70 Grande Posted October 7, 2017 Posted October 7, 2017 Sure would like to see a pic of its bottom-side; wondering how you did the rear-wheel drive/suspension set-up!
Reuhkapelti Posted October 7, 2017 Author Posted October 7, 2017 (edited) Thanks everybody. As for the picture of the bottom side... oh well nothing special there, just the the minimum. The radiator ls there also. Edited October 7, 2017 by Reuhkapelti
