geetee66 Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Here's the Aoshima Mitsubishi Evo X, I've been working on for about a month. This is my first airbrush paint job and I wish I'd taken the plunge, sooner. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Box stock, except for the seatbelt clasps and roof decal. I know most of you prefer American iron, but it was a good kit to build my airbrush skills. Anyway, I hope you like it all the same. All comments welcome. Thanks for looking.
kelson Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 The color is an eye catcher!,i started airbrushing some of my interiors and i'm glad I did, cause you use a lot less paint.
Plastheniker Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Super clean and very smooth paintwork! On pictures even perfect metallic paintworks like yours mostly get a coarse "out-of-scale" appearance when spotlighted directly. Did you ever try an improvised "photographer's tent"? Years ago I made mine from some scrap tubes and an old white bedsheet. When illuminated from outside the difference is really amazing.
FabbricaP Posted October 14, 2017 Posted October 14, 2017 Great job, the color and skull decals look awesome

Under more diffused light, the paint doesn't look that coarse. Thanks for the comments everyone. Like I said, these tuners aren't terribly popular on this forum, but they are very nice to build. I'm changing tack and doing a 41 willys next. The KS Pittman car. It's nice to mix it up and not do the same type of thing too often. Edited October 16, 2017 by geetee66
