cpspoogie Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Built from the SS396 kit but modified as a regular El Camino, a replica of my first high school car. Tonneau cover is scratch built. Still working on bare metal foil technique for trim. It’s not that great but gets a little better each time.
cpspoogie Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 Thanks much! I found one just like it in that color in 1980. My first car. I had to shoot it in gloss black in between metallic green to get that color.
shoopdog Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Nice looking car. Your foil work looks pretty good to me, I can't say mine ever really improves!
High octane Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Lookin' good, and BMF does improve with practice.
espo Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Very nice looking. There is something special in building a vehicle that you have owned. I built a model of my '67 El Camino 396 & 4-speed that I bought new and put over 100K on it. Brought back a lot of good memories. I hope you had the same experience.
cpspoogie Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 Thanks all for the kind comments! I’m checking out all your work, too. Some real talent!!!
bbowser Posted November 4, 2017 Posted November 4, 2017 Very nice looking. There is something special in building a vehicle that you have owned. I'm jealous of your first car! Nice work.
