1940 Ford home made p/u

Took a junk 2 door sedan body and cut the roof off at the rear to make it kind of look like a ute,it was built with all junk parts I had in stock.

Very nice and creative conversion, Jeff! I made a 40 Ford truck like that way back in the 1960's, except I cut the body completely off and used a bed and rear fenders from some other pickup kit (53 Ford maybe?). Yours looks better than mine did!

I used the back of the cab from a 53 p/u to close it off and gave up on it a couple times,AMT body and sedan delivery interior and a Lindberg chassis and fenders. Phase II is to build a utility trailer out of a truck bed to hook to it

Funny you mention that. I have an old survivor in my collection just like that...

It might have been easier to do one like that and I found out I had a p/u bed I could have used but its now going to be made into a trailer.

With this project I saved a bunch of parts from going in the trash,its kind of rough but is a beater.
