junkyardjeff Posted Saturday at 01:20 AM Posted Saturday at 01:20 AM To be honest I have not done anything different to any 40 kit,a few years ago I bought a collection that had about 20 AMT 40s and almost done restoring them and then there was my obcession with the 60s Monogram 40 pickups which I now have about a dozen so I really do not need to see another 40 for a few years but I know I will be sucked back in soon.

mr moto Posted Sunday at 12:26 AM Posted Sunday at 12:26 AM I posted a couple of '40's to this thread back in 2017. Here's one I've built since then. It's based on the AMT sedan delivery. 5

I could see Farmers like my grandfather doing that. Everything in the "Boneyard" on the ranch, was fodder to used for other things. So cutting down a car, and making a utility truck out of it, was something he would likely have done. Thanks for sharing.

Scott...looking really good. I have had trouble with the Tamiya Maroon color but looks like you really nailed it. Please keep us in the loop as you finished this project, and great to know you were inspired by my earlier project. Thx for the update, too. TB
