Hello from a Canadian traveling in Florida

Tim here. I’m a fairly recent convert to scale car modelling. I’ve mainly built armour and aircraft kits and a few ships. That changed about two months ago when I saw Tamiya’s 1/20 Honda RA 272 kit. Cars of that era are the dream cars of my youth, when F1 got lots of tv coverage in the 12 channel universe.

I built the Honda kit and I was hooked. Currently, I’m waiting for the USPS to arrive with an Olsonite Eagle kit from Texas via eBay. I came to this forum because of a stunning build by “ismaelg” that turned up on Google. The man clearly has talent! I’ve read that this kit is a little tricky and fragile so any and all references will be invaluable. Except for adding some wiring and plumbing, it’ll be out of the box. While I won’t even attempt ismael’s ideas, I will be inspired by his patient craftsmanship.

Welcome Tim, and I think you'll find building scale model motor cars more interesting than building aircraft, ships or military stuff, although to be fair ... each to their own in this free world.
