Steve,  I plan on using the vinyl roof material from Model Car Garage.  This is the same material that I used to replicate the rubber mat on my 1963 lightweight Galaxie

The real truck didn't have a vinyl top just a for better way to explain it it looked like trunk paint.

Ben, I have cut away some of the center section of the seat and will use half round Plastruct styrene plastic to create the pattern

Vinnie....close up photos show that the top is vinyl

I have an original 1963 Falcon convertible to restore. I have fixed the body, and I am considering the fixes on the interior. I may have to remove the bucket seats from the tub to add detail, and if I do, I plan to copy them in resin for the Pickup project. The resin copy I have represents a '62, but I have two other '63's. One, an original AMT, which I can back date to a 62, and a resin Flareside. On my pickup, I plan to take a couple of liberties, one an FX style dual scooped hood, a set of American Torque Thrusts, with the widened rears with pie-crust cheaters, and red paint, with white inserts in the mouldings. Just a nasty, street driven beast.
