crazyjim Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 I've had this one done for a few days but had to wait for some sunshine. It's a 1958 Plymouth Belvedere that has the side chrome trim removed. All the chrome has been stripped except for the wheels. Tru-Color metallic black was sprayed and then covered with 2 part urethane clear.
donb Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 That looks sinister Jim. And the interior is super nice too (again). Another great model!

Classicgas Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 Wow. What was your process for removing the trim?
crazyjim Posted January 14, 2018 Author Posted January 14, 2018 I put a sanding drum on my Dremel Stylus and ground it down. Finished of with a series of sanding sticks and Bondo.
D. Battista Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Very Cool Jim......is that a'70 Challenger hood scoop..? looks good. I like the paint also..!!
Hmann68 Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 Wow that's an evil looking creation! Good paint and interior work, which is nothing new with your stuff! Nice!
PARTSMARTY Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 (edited) Lean clean and mean-another winner-awesome !!!-and a mopar-love it. Edited January 15, 2018 by PARTSMARTY
crazyjim Posted January 15, 2018 Author Posted January 15, 2018 Thanks Dave, Christopher, Marty, and Dan. You may be correct about the scoop, Dave. Unfortunately, I don't mark parts before putting them in parts bins. I did cut out the appropriate portion of the hood underneath though.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted January 15, 2018 Posted January 15, 2018 By the description alone, I imagined a '58 Plymouth like that would be ugly as hel. Boy was I wrong. It looks bad, yes, but in a good way!! Something death should drive in Supernatural.
