mrmike Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 This is my Foose FD100 Pickup painted with Testors De Ja Blue One Coat Lacquer with a Tamiya TS-48 Gunship Grey interior. The suspension has been modified to eliminate the two metal axles for a more realistic approach. The wheels were stripped of their chrome and painted with Tamiya TS-42 Light Gunmetal and Molotow Liquid Chrome. The engine is wired with a MAD distributor.
WolfmanJedd Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 That's a beautiful Ford, mrmike! I really enjoyed watching your build and how you eliminated the front axle. Also, I love the rims! Digging on the two-tone! I got one of these for Christmas and am looking forward to building it at some point as well.
Tom Geiger Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Nice work! It's good for me to see the kit finished as I am about to do one for the upcoming 24 hour build this weekend! I will be building the below pictured truck, but with Foose chassis, drivetrain and wheels! This truck sits about a block from my house.
Bennyg Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Very nice! I wouldn't mind getting one of these. Ben
Hmann68 Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 Beautiful truck! The colors you used look great on that style!
espo Posted January 26, 2018 Posted January 26, 2018 I know how you fought this one tooth and nail but the effort sure paid off. Turned out beautiful.
mrmike Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 Thank you guys! This truck was well worth the effort I had put into it. I do need to go back and make a change or two on it. I need to darken the door lines and rub out the bed fenders a bit more.
KWT Posted January 28, 2018 Posted January 28, 2018 (edited) Very nicely done Mike. I'll definitely be adding this one to the stash. Edited January 28, 2018 by KWT
mrmike Posted January 28, 2018 Author Posted January 28, 2018 Thank you Jeremy! Even out-of-box, it's a good kit. I just had to change a few things.
mrmike Posted February 4, 2018 Author Posted February 4, 2018 I brought the Foose Ford FD100 Pickup to my Club meeting yesterday and was awarded an award for Best Show-N-Tell.
