62SS Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Hi all. Ive been checking out this board for a while now and finally decided to join the fun. I cant believe the amount of talent that is here. You guys build some beautiful models. My name is Ed and I live in Pittsburgh Pa. I build mostly 50s-70s replica stock but Ive been known to throw in an occasional Race car or hotrod or whatever else comes to mind. Im looking forward to being a member of this forum and making new modeling buddies. Now I need to go build some more.

MrObsessive Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 Welcome Ed! It's great we got another replica stock guy! Since your in PA, maybe you could visit our club in York (south central PA) sometime. It would be a ways for driving from Pittsburgh, but you'd enjoy the meeting as there are a number of rep. stock guys (including myself) that go.

Eshaver Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 See Bill, I'm not theonly one who has problems putting pictures into a computer. I'm pretty much being told now to buy adigital camera and shoot everything that way. Still, my 1940 Agfa Twin Lens reflex works just fine. I also know hoe to develop my own film too. I dont want a digital camera kids! Ed Shaver
Harold Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Welcome, Ed. My history professor this past semester grew up in Pittsburgh, and he said anyone that spelled it without the 'h' on a test would automatically fail. Here's to hoping you find it fun here.

Hey look, I was a long time film guy, I had a BFA in film, I still have a Yasica FX3 SLR, but digital is the way to go for this format.

Unless he's got a scanner..........but that's just as much work if not more! I used to be against digicams years ago-------but once I got one I couldn't live without it! Especially when needing to post progress pics on message boards.
Ron Hamilton Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 Welcome. I can't wait to see your work, as we like pretty much the same thing. Ron
