Hi all. Ive been checking out this board for a while now and finally decided to join the fun. I cant believe the amount of talent that is here. You guys build some beautiful models. My name is Ed and I live in Pittsburgh Pa. I build mostly 50s-70s replica stock but Ive been known to throw in an occasional Race car or hotrod or whatever else comes to mind. Im looking forward to being a member of this forum and making new modeling buddies. Now I need to go build some more.

Welcome Ed! It's great we got another replica stock guy!

Since your in PA, maybe you could visit our club in York (south central PA) sometime.

It would be a ways for driving from Pittsburgh, but you'd enjoy the meeting as there are a number of rep. stock guys (including myself) that go.

Welcome, Ed! Have fun and don't be bashful about questions and having a good time. ...eh, 62SS....I had one of those in 1:1 scale in the sixties. Was Ermine White with the red bucket/consol interior. Always loved that style and have kicked myself in the behind me area many times for selling that great car! (WHY did I DO that..... ?)

Happy building! Joe

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Im starting to feel like part of the family already. This place is great. Now if I can just figure out this photo thing Ill post some pics. Im pretty much a computer idiot so Ill get MRS. 62SS to hook me up over the weekend. She knows lots more about these things than I do so it should not be a problem for her to teach me.

See Bill, I'm not theonly one who has problems putting pictures into a computer. I'm pretty much being told now to buy adigital camera and shoot everything that way. Still, my 1940 Agfa Twin Lens reflex works just fine. I also know hoe to develop my own film too. I dont want a digital camera kids! Ed Shaver

Welcome, Ed. My history professor this past semester grew up in Pittsburgh, and he said anyone that spelled it without the 'h' on a test would automatically fail. Here's to hoping you find it fun here.

Unless he's got a scanner..........but that's just as much work if not more! :D

I used to be against digicams years ago-------but once I got one I couldn't live without it! :( Especially when needing to post progress pics on message boards.
