Do any kits contain 10" or 11" wide (in either 15" or 16" diameter) M&H Racemaster pie crust style slicks? The recent AMT versions are 8" and the Revell Miss Deal (and others) version are 8.75" wide, but I don't recall any 10" pie crust style slicks in any kit. I'm aware of aftermarket, but looking for kit sourced slicks only.

Some of the vintage Revell M&H RaceMasters are indeed 10X16, and are marked as such on the sidewalls. The treads measure a little over 10mm in width.

These would have been in the original issues of the Miss Deal, SWC Willys, Tony Nancy double-dragster kits, the Ivo Showboat, etc.

Theses are the two-piece slicks, correct?

I'm looking for something similar to these, so maybe I just need to dig deeper for older/vintage slicks:

The Boot Hill Express? I'm at work right now, but I'll measure them tonight if you need. They are 1:24 though.

I should've added the 1/25 scale to the title...fixed. I think the 1/24 scale Monogram PC slicks (though I love them) would be too large, and the scale difference noticeable in this case. Thanks for the offer, though, Rob.

*edit* Well, this is slightly embarrassing. I remembered but could not find these "in motion" styrene two-piece M&H 10.50 x 15 pie crust slicks, which aren't ideal, but might work:

The ones I referred to are ONE -PIECE, and look pretty much identical to those in your photo.

They date from the mid 1960s. See below (not my model)

Thanks, Bill. Those look like what I am looking for. :)

Hmmm, I think the slicks in the Revell '64 T-bolt kits are one-piece and appear to be 10.00x15?:

Same slicks, and, yes, they are marked "10.00 x 15" on the sidewall.  The Monogram slicks (Hairy Olds, Boot Hill Express, Li'l Coffin) are exactly the same width (at the tread area) as the Revell slicks, and only marginally taller (1/16", maybe).

Some of the Monogram slicks have "9.00 x 15" markings on the molded plastic sidewall insert.  Others have no markings.  Not sure which kits have what.  I've got a pair of the Monogram slicks with the lettered sidewalls set aside for my '57 Ford wagon "street freak gasser".  A set of resin, widened Mickey Thompson mag wheels I found at a toy show fit perfectly with those whitewall inserts, and I suspect that many old-school Revell mag wheels designed around the Revell slicks will likewise fit them.

I'm using the T-bolt slicks on my gasser project.  It's hard to find (2) of the vintage tires with nice sidewalls.

Yeah, that's the route I'm going to go. The T-bolt kit includes those very nice steel and Keystone Kustomag Klassic wheels, too.

I see you're showing off those nice AMT Firestone font tires, too. <_<  ;)

The skinny Firestones were popular on gassers.

Looks like your photo might have Goodyear Power Cushions on the front.

Just about anything narrow and light showed up on gassers. I've seen lotsa 145X15 &155X15 Pirelli, Continental and Dunlop tires on them in the old days.

The straight-tread Firestones on the Crosley wagon were more popular on dry-lakes cars. The straight tread gave more positive steering feel on "loose" surfaces, and were originally dirt-track tires.

Though often referred to as "implement" tires by "experts", they looked like tractor tires, but were in reality entirely different animals.
