Evil Appetite Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Every single time I come to this forum, I have to request a new password because my previous one isnt recognised. No I'm not typing it in wrong. I use KeePass PasswordKeeper. It generates and saves password. I copy from the MCM entry i have saved to the database and paste it to the Password field. Each time it';s not recognised. Anyone else have this issue? --- Mike

I don't even log out, and I don't see any need to, honestly. Never had any log in issues, and no need to remember my password each time I visit. Seems a lot easier to pick a password you can easily remember, or not log out (if possible, might not be for you?).

My password keeper has always been a pen and note pad.
Renegade Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 I also never log out but I am retired and only use my home computer. While not a computer expert, I do agree with Casey that your password generator may be the problem.
fumi Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 No issue with it at all. Do you have issue with other web sites? Maybe try pasting it to something like notepad first and then copy and paste again from there, and see if it works.
MikeRousseau Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 This is EvilAppetite. I signed up with a new account to see iof anything changes. KeePass isnt the problem. I use it to store password for every other site I have an account with. Really..how could it be that. Makes no sense. I copy my password from the software, then paste it into the login box here. How could KeePass be the problem. Just to inform, I'm not a noob to the internet, to software or computers. I've been online since the screaming modem dialup days in the mid 90's. I've taken multiple computer programming courses and build and repair systems on a regular basis.. I never log out of the site. I close down my browser, without logging out, shut down the computer. Next day, or whenever, I fire up my browser, come here, and I'm logged out. Try to log back in again, and I get the Password isnt recognized error. We'll see what happens with this account.

If you never log off, but are automatically logged off when you leave, perhaps it one of your web browser's settings? Good luck, Spaceman.
gbdolfans Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 Hi Mike, what browser do you use? I use Firefox. After logging in,a dialog box opens, asking me to remember this password.I click yes, then bookmark the logged in page. When I then click the bookmarked page,it takes me here, logged in.No problem. Maybe your browser setting has it deleting password upon exiting? Hope this helps, George
MikeRousseau Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 Hi George. I use FF as well. At some point in the past that remeber password box did come up. I chose Allow as i always do for sites i visit every day. I still have no idea what was going on, but this account seems fine. it's been a few days, i've closed my browser, rebooted my system a fe times since, and I'm still logged in with this account. Since this account seems to be fine, I'll put the issue behind me. Thanks to everyone who posted. Much appreciated --- Mike
slusher Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 My computer logs me off all web sites from time to time. I have always had the same password since I have joined here...
