Dave Darby Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 I understand Model Cars Diecast editor Wayne Moyer passed away recently. Any details or obit?
RancheroSteve Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 No news or info to add, but very sorry to hear. Even though I wasn't a small scale/diecast guy I always enjoyed his columns. Years ago when I was getting back into the hobby I bought a bunch of Scale Auto Enthusiast back issues from him - great guy to deal with. Rest in peace.
vamach1 Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 (edited) RIP Wayne. He had an amazing collection of 1/43 models and built hundreds of them. I wonder what will happen to them. Some should go to a car museum for people to enjoy seeing them. I know there is a slim to none chance of them ending up in the Model car museum because they are not plastic or the right scale. He was not afraid to build metal, resin or plastic and enjoyed all kinds of cars. I only met him once maybe 25 years ago but I always enjoyed his columns. All these model are 1/43 if anyone was wondering. Edited April 7, 2018 by vamach1 Picture
oldcarfan Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 I've never been interested in 1/43rd scale, but I read his writing because it was good.
