Bartimaeus5000 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 In the younger end of model builders, currently on the way through college. Still kind of new to model building, I've built 5 of the 1/25 scale car kits and about 40 miniture wargame figures, the biggest issue I've come across so far is there is nobody around my area to discuss model building with.
BeakDoc Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Greetings. Great to see younger folks getting into the hobby. I think it’s important for us older heads to foster the interest of the generations behind us. As an aside; do you have any family from Virginia? My great grandmother shares your last name. Anyways, happy building.
Bartimaeus5000 Posted April 13, 2018 Author Posted April 13, 2018 On the topic of family, as far as I know I don't have family that way but I could be wrong

towman1271 Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Welcome to the group. I'm not to far away from you.. I live near the Glendale Lake area.. A little north of Altoona. It is hard in our area to find others, but this group is full of great people always willing to help!
Bartimaeus5000 Posted April 13, 2018 Author Posted April 13, 2018 Thank you, you're right you're not too far away. I'm glad I found this site, its hard to talk ideas and get opinions from people that don't, more or less, care about the hobby.
Bartimaeus5000 Posted April 14, 2018 Author Posted April 14, 2018 Thank you this online community is very nice and helpful.
MrObsessive Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Welcome aboard Ethaniel! I'm just outside of the Harrisburg area, and in fact we have a model club that meets not only in Mechanicsburg (today), but also in York (CPMCC). You're a bit up there as far as distance, but it's definitely worth getting to our meetings sometime if you're able.
Bartimaeus5000 Posted April 14, 2018 Author Posted April 14, 2018 A small distance away but would be awesome to get to one sometime.
