The AMT one was a shortbed stepside. Apparently it was reissued once or twice.

You could probably mix it with the AMT Chevy fleetside longbed pickup to come up with that truck, but both kits are getting hard to find.

Pat it looks the kits that you would need to combine are around from 30 bucks each to stupid money.  That is not even including shipping.  

It would be nice to see you build this though.

love these old trucks, have had 5 of them, but only 2 were GMC's. both '68's

one a 910 with a mild 350

 

and one Custom Cab wit a 383 stroker

For hubcaps, these are wrong but they're as close as you can get in a kit (that I know of). Of course you'd have to replace the bowtie.

I drove a '68 Chevy half-ton in high school.

Had a 327 in it with 3-in-the-tree.

I should look to see if that is out there as a kit.

Yes, the hubcaps are strange, the edges are much too high, the need to be sanded down. They are actually 3/4 or 1 ton hubcaps, since the van was a 30 series. Did the  3/4 ton GMC as well a 3/4 ton Chevy pickup years ago. The GMC pickup used the same fender emblem as the Astro.
