landman Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 This one is real, across the road. Very very nice. Has that been kitted?
mike 51 Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 (edited) yes..AMT did one. Edited April 22, 2018 by mike 51
SSNJim Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 The AMT one was a shortbed stepside. Apparently it was reissued once or twice. https://www.modelroundup.com/1972-GMC-Stepside-Pickup-Stock-or-Custom-AMT-6081-p/amt-t-409.htm You could probably mix it with the AMT Chevy fleetside longbed pickup to come up with that truck, but both kits are getting hard to find.

1930fordpickup Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Pat it looks the kits that you would need to combine are around from 30 bucks each to stupid money. That is not even including shipping. It would be nice to see you build this though.

Repstock Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 (edited) For hubcaps, these are wrong but they're as close as you can get in a kit (that I know of). Of course you'd have to replace the bowtie. Edited April 23, 2018 by Repstock
Repstock Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Be aware that the kit has the wrong inner front fender wells, see pictures:
Goodwrench3 Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 I drove a '68 Chevy half-ton in high school. Had a 327 in it with 3-in-the-tree. I should look to see if that is out there as a kit.

They are actually 3/4 or 1 ton hubcaps, since the van was a 30 series. Did the 3/4 ton GMC as well a 3/4 ton Chevy pickup years ago. The GMC pickup used the same fender emblem as the Astro.
Goodwrench3 Posted June 3, 2018 Posted June 3, 2018 Very nice. I really wish they made a '68 Chevy half ton kit.
