Shapeways went belly up some time ago.

Don't know why or what the issues were with them, but obviously serious.

Hopefully Maple will find another commercial 3D printing company soon

You and me both!  Also the dual carb fuel blocks…

@Spex84 any updates? If going back to Shapeways isn't something you want to do (understandably) maybe you could sell your designs to someone else? I can think of one with a similar product line who I think would be a good partner.

@Mr. Metallic Haha hi! I'm feeling sheepish...I have been very slow moving on the Shapeways/Thangs front, as other priorities intrude. Summers are short here in Canada!
That said, I've been prototyping new parts with my personal 3D printer, and working on putting together a list of parts to offer on Thangs, now that their Print on Demand service is active.

Do you have any specific designs that I sold on the old Shapeways that you'd like to see again?

The three intake finned fuel blocks, the call custom intakes, the quick change rearends with rear crossmember...

Thanks for the feedback! It's going to take time to re-upload, get the 3D model approved, create listings for all the parts.
I have my own ideas about which parts sold best/are the most attractive, but it would be best to hear the scoop from actual customers!

I would say the quick changes for sure, I bought 4 but wish I had a few more. I wish I had gotten more of the conversion parts for the Revell Hemi and Olds engines. I would like a few more LaSalle transmissions too. Honestly, I would take anything.

My vote is for the following:

- The finned 2- and 3- carb fuel distribution blocks

- The Halibrand QC conversion with Model A rear crossmember and leaf spring for Revell's line of '32 Fords (perhaps as a double set like the conversion for Revell's new Model A kits)

- The Olds Rocket and Ford Y-Block Hop-Up kits (the separate items were beautiful but disproportionally expensive due to Shapeways' pricing structure)

You know I have so many of your products. But the ones I miss most are the QC rear/crossmember combos. If I had know Shapeways was going to run into trouble I would have stocked up on those jus to have.

Hello everyone. New to the forum, but I had found Mapleleaf on Shapeways just as thing went downhill. Tried to send an email to Chris but it didn't go.

Just a question, Chris:  You once listed Edelbrock curved signature finned valve covers for a small block chevy. I don't remember the scale. Are they available? I haven't seen this style anywhere else. I'm trying to build a replica of Gray Baskerville's Deuce roadster and this is a detail I'm missing. Thaks.

All of em! Fuel blocks, carbs, oil filters... loved the accessories and hop up parts. If you havent, Especially bring back the conversions to run banjo/quickchange axles, and Nailheads and nailhead hop up parts in the Revell 32 Fords..... or maybe it was the Olds Rocket... it's been a while!

Hey, thanks for the feedback folks!
@Gluefingers Hello there! I don't think I actually had any Edelbrock signature valve covers--I had ribbed Y-block covers (perpendicular to the usual rib direction, more like Lincoln Continental) and Oldsmobile Rocket script valve covers (without ribs). I didn't do a lot of script or logos because it was difficult to do with the software I was using at the time.

Based on your feedback, I've been prioritizing the quickchanges, Olds and Nailhead hop-up kits, and accessories. Once I've stocked the store with a reasonable number of items I'll post a link here. I've had to make some changes to the thinnest and most delicate parts to toughen them up and pass the wall-thickness evaluation (SP top carbs, Cal Custom 4040 scoops), but most parts will be coming back more or less unchanged, and I have some new stuff cooking.

I just tried to order from thangs, and kept getting errors and issues no matter what I did. I emailed them for support and only got one response asking what I was trying to buy, and nothing afterwards. Their website says my address is incorrect, etc. So looks like my hopes are dashed again!

Edit #1 - If I can get it resolved soon, could you also add the adapter kits to put the Revell Olds Rocket engines in the Revell 32 Fords?? Pleeeeeaaasseee??

Edit #2 - didn't you also have headers for the Olds Rocket for the 32 Ford conversion too?

I have that address incorrect issue with Pegasus They keep telling me it's my bank that has the wrong address when I contact them. My banks (yes two of them) say it is an issue with the card service agency they use.

Hi folks, looks like you've found the new shop. I'll start publicizing it once I have a few more parts uploaded.

I did have headers and engine mounts for Olds, but I need to check them for wall thickness and make sure they're printable by the new rules, before I list them again.

When it comes to credit card/address issues, I'm afraid I can't help. The new website is clunky, and they're obviously working on shoehorning the Shapeways stuff into a system that wasn't really designed for it. It's improving gradually. That's why I waited to re-start my shop!

Any interest in LaSalle transmissions for the Olds Rocket? Or a Rocket in 1/16 scale?
I wanted an engine to drop into the '27 Ford roadster that I've been working on....and had the valve covers already, so it seemed like a no-brainer to make an Olds dummy block.

The project escalated into this: Olds V8 with Edmunds-style 2x4 intake, LaSalle transmission with Olds tailshaft and appropriate bellhousing, weedburner headers, and a siamesed mushroom-style air cleaner (kinda like the one in the AMT Mod Rod/Ala Kart kit).

I'm currently setting up the file to test-print with my 3D printer at home, but I need to order more resin. Woohoo!

A 39 La Salle top-shift as shown would be highly welcomed, as would the shifter.

Another unrelated but welcome addition would be a 1960's-70's Mallory Super Mag Magneto with and the square Super Mag Transformer. I think the only source of really nice ones is the Jo-Han Funny Cars. The Polar Lights Funny Cars have them too, but they aren't nearly as crisp as the Jo-Han Super Mags
