Does anybody have any experience with the Model Car World mid 50s Oldsmobile kits?

I'm interested particularly in the '54, '55 & '56 hardtops, but I would really like to see them before I would take the leap, or at least get some testimonials from someone who has bought them.

Very nice kits, good quality resin castings. The only issue at all is unplated parts. Some include engine and decals for scripts/emblems.

Just since we're talking MCW Olds, I'd like to hear about their '65 4-4-2, if anyone has bought or built one. Very tempting!

Thanks to all for this thread. I have a soft spot for Oldsmobiles. I've been stretching a 1/26 no-name Chinorama diecast into a decent 1/25 representation of a '55, but these look like a much better option...and won't take the rest of my life to finish.

Thanks Joe.

I have seen these photos in the MCW gallery, but I was hoping for more along the lines of photos of the raw parts.

A lot can be done to massage a pretty horrible casting into a finished model.

I really like to see the parts as they come so I know how much work is involved before I drop $60.00 on a kit.
