Let me start by saying I had trouble with this kit . I’m not going to blame the kit as it was most likely problems brought on by myself . I got sick of working on it and so I rushed it . First plastic kit I built in a little while but since I had a new one I bought in 77 I wanted to build a model . Not as mine was but just an example of these trucks . My first idea was to build it painted like a BRE vehicle . I changed my mind when going through my parts box and found a bunch of AMT 289 Cobra parts . That engine is very narrow and fit with some mods . I used the hood scoop and seats and side pipes from the Cobra kit . I really had problems with the final assembly and removed the engine and glued down the hood . Not happy and not my best work but here it is .

My apologies Ray the kit is fiddly and takes effort to get things to fit properly.  Like how your's turned out.

That turned out pretty good mate, i'm doing one at the moment, the side panels look like they were kicked in from the mold..

Mine was kerbside too, but that changed..  They are a Cool little pick-up.

Its very old tooling, it was more the kit than you,  it requires a ton of skill and patients and restraint to not throw it across the room, I bought two of the reissues, and after building one, I dont think I want to build the second one in this lifetime.
