One has to wonder how the driver was supposed to see where the whole contraption was going, being hunkered down below the level of the trunk lid and whatnot. :blink:

Interesting kits. Even though its 100% fictitious.

But, To be honest. I wouldn't mid having one of these kits to build.

Whole different arrangement. That one, you COULD see out of, at least a little. (Hey, people manage to land F4U Corsairs. B))

Convertible would have been the way to go! And yes, landing the Hose Nose was apparently a real hoot!

Yeah, there were several of those kinds of things done. NHRA outlawed them, and they must not have worked all that well because they didn't even last that long on the match race circuit.
