Dave B Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 (edited) I have just rebuilt my LS Chaparral 2C and realised it is the only Chappie I have not shared. Apart from replacing the moulded mesh with a (too) fine gauze it is a box stock build painted with auto acrylic. I now have 2 * 2D's (Monogram & Fujimi), 2F (Fisher), 2H (body copy of Exotic Miniatures) and a 2J (scratchbuilt) along with the 3 Cox slot cars being a 2, 2D and 2E (mag frame). Not too bad for a Ford guy!! Tks for looking. Dave B Edited June 13, 2018 by Bantoft spelling error
bbowser Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Nice! Chaparral's made a big impression on me back in the '60s. Jim Hall was way ahead of his time.
ismaelg Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Nice job on the rebuild. Like Bruce said, those were really ahead of their time.
TooOld Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Great rebuild , it looks awesome ! Chaparrals made a big impression on me as a kid too !
TarheelRick Posted June 14, 2018 Posted June 14, 2018 Back in those days there were only three C's is automobiles: Chaparal, Cheetah, and Chevrolet. Since then I have grown up and dropped the last C, but the first two are still way up there. Really nice looking build.
aurfalien Posted June 15, 2018 Posted June 15, 2018 Hi Monsignor Bantoft, Another killer classic, love it. Thanks for posting.
