ewetwo Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 What photo storage hosting works best with this forum. I know some use Photo Bucket but you have to deal with the ads and such when viewing.
LDO Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 I have used a paid Fotki for around 18 years. IMHO, free hosting is obsolete.
Lunajammer Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 The free hosting sites may not cost anything, but you pay one way or another. I have a paid Fotki site. I look at it like a modeling tool. For the price of one kit a year I get no ads and a reliable photo site.

ewetwo Posted July 5, 2018 Author Posted July 5, 2018 Thank you. I don’t want to overload the forum with photos.
smhardesty Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 Another vote for Fotki. "Freebie" hosting sites are prone to problematic results in one way or another. 24 bucks a year for good, stable photo hosting is a good deal.
martinfan5 Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 (edited) Going against what is being said in this thread, there are plenty of free hosting options that are no where close to beinh obsolete and that are just as good and work as well as the paid sites , you need to find what is going to work best for your needs and dont worry about if its free or not, you may not need what some of the paid sites offer, heck, you may not like how the paid sites are laid out, and the same can very much apply to the free sites. Google is a great place to start by doing a search for photo hosting sites and going from there. I currently use Flickr and Imgur for my hosting needs, both have paid and free options and I have yet to experience any issues and have yet to pay for it in some other way. If you are looking for a paid site, I for sure would look into Foti, but again, you need to find a site with a plan that is best suited for your needs and how much storage and bandwidth you are going to be using. Tom Geiger Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 Don't forget that you can post photos directly onto this site!

StevenGuthmiller Posted July 6, 2018 Posted July 6, 2018 By all means, stay away from Photobucket! That's a great big old can of worms! Another vote for Fotki! $24.00 a year, but it's so simple to use, very fast, & absolutely zero adds & pop ups! Truly, you will not regret it. Steve

And another vote for Fotki.... been using them for quite a few years now.
smhardesty Posted July 9, 2018 Posted July 9, 2018 A wise choice. I can't help but laugh every time I see your handle. A long time ago, when I was a young kid, the little, local radio station where I lived hired a new, young broadcaster to do the early morning show. On this particular Monday he was on as I got ready for school and ate breakfast. My folks always had the radio on in the AM to get local events, weather, and possible school closings. One of the things this broadcaster was responsible for doing was the local farm markets. It was his first day on the job doing this. He read and announced the market hogs, steers, slaughter lambs, then proudly announced the Slaughter EEE WEEEs price. I thought my dad and I were both going to fall off our chairs. I told all my school buddies, most of whom were farmers, about it and all day at school you could hear guys yelling, "EEE WEEE".
