Ace-Garageguy Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 (edited) It appears to be a first-generation Chrysler hemi with those valve covers, even intake and exhaust port spacing, and the distributor drive in the rear. 331-354-392. The bolt pattern on the timing cover is in the ballpark too. Edited July 8, 2018 by Ace-Garageguy

Phirewriter Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 (edited) When the '63 Nova wagon was released it came with a trailer and various accessories including a Hemi engine and stand. The engine powering the drag version appears to be that very Hemi. I have both versions and it looks like all but the necessary parts were pulled or blocked off and the original chassis modified for the Boss version. I compared the two years ago and I don't believe it could ever come back stock even if they back tooled the body. Edited July 8, 2018 by Phirewriter
Greg Myers Posted July 8, 2018 Author Posted July 8, 2018 Not trying to disagree here, but just an observation, The valve covers look a little flat for a stock HEMI. I was thinking something experimental, maybe.
Greg Myers Posted July 8, 2018 Author Posted July 8, 2018 OK, I'm seeing it now, just flat instruction drawing.
Greg Myers Posted July 8, 2018 Author Posted July 8, 2018 Guess I was hoping for something like this . . .
bobthehobbyguy Posted July 9, 2018 Posted July 9, 2018 The Bossa Nova hemi is the same as the hemi in the Double dragster kit.

Per JohnG at Round2, they can't find the interior or chassis molds. http://www.collectormodel.com/round2-models/2224-whats-a-hanger-shot/ (Comment #43)
