Bill B Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 (edited) This is my first completed model in several decades, so it's a little rough. It's a Minicraft snap kit, so there is no chassis, or engine detail. It's still lacking some exterior detail (wind screen, mirrors, seat belts), but when the paint started cracking real bad I decided to stick a fork in it. If there was anything for me to take away from this build it would be to plan my work out more carefully, and not just work on what I wanted when I wanted. (Things don't fit so well if you don't plan ahead lol) Whoa! I hope I posted the photos correctly, they are really big. Well! On to the next project. Edited August 15, 2018 by Bill B
Justin Porter Posted August 15, 2018 Posted August 15, 2018 That Minicraft TR3 is a struggle on its best day. It's unfortunate that the Gunze Sangyo Triumph TR2 through 3A kits will probably never see the light of day again.
afx Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Welcome back to the hobby Bill and nice start. Your build has the look of proper racer.

Bainford Posted August 16, 2018 Posted August 16, 2018 Cool looking Triumph. You captured the look of the typical SCCA racer very well. Nicely done.
Bill B Posted August 17, 2018 Author Posted August 17, 2018 Thanks for the encouragement guys. I'll shoot for a little more detail on the next one.
