Koellefornia Kid Posted August 17, 2018 Posted August 17, 2018 Hi guys, here is another one of my earlier models, built around ´95/´96: a Revell ´55 Ford Panel Truck. It was the first time I tried to create a unique custom car model by combining parts from several other kits. I lowered the suspension as much as possible and shaved the complete body. The hood peak was extended and I frenched the lower thirds of early ´90s Mustang taillights in the rear, along with a recessed license plate. The grille is scratch built and equipped with a Testors CheZoom grille bar. Wheels and tires came from the Chezoom kit as well. Scratch built hinges enable the hood to tilt forwards and it reveals a wired 5.0 engine from Monogram´s ´55 Pickup. Hope you like it Greetings from Germany
alan barton Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 That would have been very on-trend for the mid nineties, Oliver. Using the frenched Mustang taillights was a great idea. Cheers Alan
DumpyDan Posted September 21, 2018 Posted September 21, 2018 Nice looking panel truck, to me this is a hard kit to look good, but you have done.
misterNNL Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 Great styling for a sometimes boxy body style. I love the stance. Thanks for sharing.
