Snake45 Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 (edited) Rut Roh.... And just for thought, not one of the features called out on this drawing is mandated for the "Gas Coupe and Sedan" class in the mid-'60s NHRA rulebooks. (And I don't believe C/G would be the proper classification for anything with a 6-71 on it.) Edited October 26, 2018 by Snake45
High octane Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 No C/G is not the proper classification for that car in the drawing. While non of those items pointed out in that drawing are mandated by NHRA, a lot of gassers where made just like the drawing. And back in the 60's the was also the AHRA and the IHRA also so there were plenty of sanctioning bodies and of course there were "outlaw tracks" where anything goes. I was racing in the mid 60's both on and off the track.
