Lovefordgalaxie Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 I'm watching this series where Scott from Cold War Motors makes a 1960 Plymouth Splice Fury. Very educational. Get a tetanus shot before watching.

MrObsessive Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 That was very interesting to watch! I just subscribed to their channel to see what they come up with next!
ChrisBcritter Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Those of us that have to section up multiple gluebombs to make complete models can commiserate.
ZTony8 Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 A local used car place that also was a salvage yard used to bring their butted together " projects" to the Buick dealer where I worked a few years ago to make them operational. One time they brought in a Cadillac that had been made of two wrecks. I don't recall if they had been two different years or different drive trains but after several days of trying to get things functional the service manager not so politely told the yard to take their P.O.S. out of our shop and not ever come back.
espo Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 I can remember in the late '60's some local body shops that would cut, slice, and dice Unibody cars that had been hit and meld them into a car that you would never realize had been done. This was in San Bernardino Ca. and I really don't recall what California was doing with the Title work to show if a car had been totaled or not. I remember an almost new '68 Mustang coupe that had been hit hard in the back and both quarters were bowed out and the doors wouldn't even close. They got the back half of another Mustang for repairs. They cut the car under the front firewall and half way up the A pillar. I think they also got the doors from that car but I'm not 100 % sure. When they got done you would never know.

I saw it in the shop in pieces after they did the cut.
