gator52 Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 (edited) I'm told this is a ‘58 Ford/Gerstenschlager truck...any kits/aftermarket that will get me close? Thanks! Edited November 25, 2018 by gator52
leafsprings Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 (edited) Nowhere close to '58, probably meant '68. Nobody does the 67-72 Ford Medium in 1/25 scale. Lindberg did the HO scale over 45 years ago, but big 1/25 plastic ignored this vehicle. Hopefully now that the Moebius 69-72 cab is out there, there will be a medium duty conversion in the near future. The best you can do now is find the Missing Link Ford F 700 cab ( 73-79 ) very similar in styling. The F 700 has been listed on their site as "out of stock" "coming soon" for last 8 months. The Gerstenschalger body would have to be a custom fab job. Only thing that might come close is the Isuzu school bus "bonnet bus" that was done in 1/32 from Japan. Aaronw Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Missing Link does a slightly later, but very similar 1970s Ford F700. http://www.missinglinkrc.com/ford_kits_2012.htm
Ben Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 This cab/hood/fenders is available, I have one. It was mastered by Tom Ellifrit. Trying to remember who sells it?
Ben Posted November 29, 2018 Posted November 29, 2018 (edited) Missing Link Resin Casters is who sells it. I think it’s a 69. Edited November 29, 2018 by Ben

It's very expensive and very well done. Edited November 29, 2018 by THarrison351

If you look at the door you will see that this is what is called a "Dent Side", made from 73-80ish. The 67-72 is referred to as a "Bump Side" due to the molding lines being a bump out on the side, not dented in like on the 73+. As for the 1:32 Bonnet Bus, it would be OK, but it is a bit too narrow. You would need to buy 2, and section them in the middle. This is what it looks like on a 65 Chevy truck, I did shorten it a lot:
