Photos in this thread show the problems pretty clearly.

Top of glass is higher than the roofline. Compare it to a real car. Not right.

Grill surround doesn't match between fenders and hood, lacks visual continuity. Again, compare it to photos of a real car.

I wrote a tutorial a while back on how to fix the glass and wheel issues with the Moebius '61 Pontiac.

I can't answer about the front bumper. I had heard there were some issues getting it to fit. IIRC, it had something to do with interference of the firewall or something to that effect. Someone who's built it fully might be able to help out with that.

Bill, this is one of the major reasons I harp on test fitting everything before one begins to paint. Some paint everything first which IMO is a BAD idea as you have no idea how things will go together as you get near the end.

Even with that, there's still some surprises that can always show up. Saving your painting till the end to me minimizes any drama that's bound to occur with the build.

Agreed 100%, which is one reason many of my builds seem to fall into the black hole of never-quite-ready-for-paint because something always crops up that needs to be addressed first.

Fit problems happen on real-car builds just as frequently when somebody gets in a rush to start painting.

I'm in the process of closing out the mechanicals and electronics on a big-buck big-block '66 Chevelle, and have had to cut multiple holes in the smoothed and beautifully painted firewall, because it was done long before all the systems and component fitting were complete.

I wouldn't let any of the issues with the fitment on this kit stop you as it is a great kit otherwise. I would suggest you follow the information that MrObsessive provided as I did. We are modelers and really where is the fun if you don't get to do a little modeling ? As for the front Grill, this is an area that you really want to trial fit before you get to far into the build. What I encountered is the back side of the headlight buckets were hitting the front radiator support. This gave the grill sort of an underbite look as the grill and bumper stood out to far. I ended up removing a lot of material from the back side of the headlight buckets, after everything was painted. Got no one to blame but myself for not practicing what I preach about test fitting. I think on my next one I'll see of the radiator support can't be moved back just a bit also to help in the fitment. Please post your build so we all may enjoy it.

Another issue with the front bumper is that the areas that wrap around (and are seen from the side) are extremely rough.  Either the tooling was rough to start with, or picked up a lot of wear after not too many kits were run.  The parting lines on the sides are whoppers too, but the AMT kits had those too.  Now that I know about the fit issue, I'll probably strip the plating from one bumper, get it to fit, fix the continuity issue with the grille trim, get rid of the huge parting lines and roughness on the sides, remove the grille detail to fit the MCG photoetch parts I bought for all three cars, then cast the thing...
