TonyK Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 1950 Olds 88 that Herschel McGriff won the Pan American road race in May 1950. Used the original kit except I replaced the body with a resin one. Don't remember where I got it but the quality was excellent. The body in the kit was incorrect for the race. Tried to make the car look race worn with some damage as seen in pictures.
afx Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Very nice. Wish there were more decal options to build the Carrera PanAmericana cars.

mrindy77 Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 I've heard the kit body is incorrect but what are the differences?
FordRodnKustom Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 Real nice, The "just enough" weathering really does it. Well done.
Bucky Posted January 9, 2019 Posted January 9, 2019 Great looking Olds!! I recently built a McGriff racer that he ran at LeMans. Quite different from this one.
