Chromecop Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 This is my latest build. I started building Dec 2-2018 and it was finished on Jan 5th , 2019. During that period I was also abroad for 15 days som only about 18 effective working days went into this build. It has a slant 6 inline engine with a 3-speed manual, I also widened the rear stock wheels and changed the tires both front and rear. I also scratchbuilt some extra details, like speaker grille for the dashboard, the orange beacon-light for the roof, the chromed horns an all the linkage for the steering.
Modlbldr Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Amazing looking build, especially for the build time you have into it. I love the color too. Later-
Tom Geiger Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Hey Darryl- Looks great! A super little work truck. I have one of these on my bench right now. It's a fun kit, a bit of a challenge with fit and finish though. I'm happy to see you added the fuel filler. Many people overlook this detail! Are your doors open or did you glue them shut? I glued mine shut on my current build. Great build!
Chromecop Posted January 7, 2019 Author Posted January 7, 2019 I glued the tailgate and the doors shut. Thanks !
SoDak1 Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 I hope the cup holders are adjusted for that rake! I love these kits and seeing everyone's take on them
Classicgas Posted January 8, 2019 Posted January 8, 2019 Very nice. Plan on using a slant6 in mine too. Will open the engine cover tho so one can see it.
