Chevy II Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 What do you guys use to temporarily attach a piece that you are needing to hold in place for mock up? Something that will let you easily remove the piece without damaging it. Elmer's glue?
Straightliner59 Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Alene's Tacky Glue. Elmer's makes a similar product, but, it's not their regular glue.
BigTallDad Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Here's some more info on Aleene's https://www.michaels.com/aleenes-original-tacky-glue/10503417.html?cm_mmc=PLASearch-_-google-_-MICH_National_PLA_Shopping_Null_Null_Papercraft_General-_-Papercraft&&cm_mmc=PLASearch-_-google-_-MICH_National_PLA_Shopping_Null_Null_Papercraft_General-_-Papercraft&gclid=CjwKCAiAv9riBRANEiwA9Dqv1ShAxNQY1yOhlKi_AAedfhjL5wocZ0qrSm6BxUVp2Y-AXUoQH9p5mBoCg8IQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

StevenGuthmiller Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 I feel like a broken record every time I respond to this question, but I have yet to find a better glue for mock ups than “Laser Bond”. What other glue will give you an instantaneous bond that can be easily taken apart in seconds. I recently mocked up an entire Ford engine, (I’m guessing in excess of 20 pieces) in less than five minutes, then took it apart again in probably less than 1 minute. If you can do that with any other glues, I would be interested to hear about them. Steve
