Rich Chernosky Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 Had this kit banging around in my collection for a long time before I found a !/20 Williams that was suitable for the conversion. Body isd a Bill Jorgensen resin conversion and the decals are IndyCals. Adapting the engine to the tub was the most tedious as it required much grinding and carving. Front suspension has re-worked coil over shocks and a new lower mounting point. Paint is Tamiya TS14 gloss black. Kit supplied the tires, rear wheels, engine and driver figure. In my opinion this was one of the best looking F-1 cars. Its a shame somebody like Tamiya never made a kit of it. I looked at a couple resin kits of this car but this one was the best.
FabbricaP Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 Wow the conversion looks awesome. Love the engine detailing
PappyD340 Posted February 21, 2019 Posted February 21, 2019 Extremely nice, wonderful detail, job well done

Gramps46 Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Once again an impressive build Rich. The engine and rear end assembly could be a stand alone display the way you have detailed it.

Thank you Gary, one of the main reasons I wanted to do this conversion instead of a kit was for the Tamiya engine.
afx Posted February 22, 2019 Posted February 22, 2019 Very nice conversion Rich. Shadow were very innovative in their day.
