Provimi Veal and Arie Luyendyk

I built up the KRACO Special last year and found it a very enjoyable build, 

So when I found this (factory wrapped) at a decent price, I couldn't resist....getting it... opening it.... starting it,....

I guess its a palate cleanser, during the 312T4 build, down in Big Boys

I find that these kits are like a jigsaw puzzle,  to get a good finish on the front nose joint, I need to take off and pin, the front running gear,...

Glue, fill, sand and seal the body halves together,... then put in the seat, firewall, ...

 

I needed to put a 1mm shim under the seat to raise it up to the cockpit rail

This is the seam that doesn't belong

GF Models (www.fg-models.eu) driver figure fits in nicely with a retro helmut Arie would have liked I think.. 

If anyone has a walkaround of this car, or knows where to find one...

Glad you started a thread on this build Bruce. When I got back into building after many years away from the hobby I built one of the Monogram Indy car kits.  I'll be following.

I got some more done on Arie..

 

The decals were shot, so hand painted the red and white

glued the body halves..

These came today from Indycals

No chance of those silvering ,...there IS no clear film ..Love it !

Also gave Arie  appropriate footwear...never to be seen again, but hey...you know Arie

..  wouldn't put that NEAR a spinning fan belt..but he could drive !

 

Final dry fit,...I hope

This can all be taken apart before going to paint and decal (thumbs up)

Well Bruce your doing a great  job, I've met Arie when he was over here at Silverstone where I was a marshall for a bit over 25 years! As soon as I saw Provimi Veal I had to look in, I saw this on TV in the UK in the day, but was out 2 years ago visiting our eldest son outside Calgary, then my wife and I went up to Alaska!

Welp, final assembly day came and,... I had to add more details and stare at other peoples fantastic builds , and almost 2 weeks later,....went ok.

Arie is on his way to park this Under Glass
