Richard Bartrop Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2019/04/12/new-hellephant-powered-hemi-under-glass-challenger-to-debut-in-2020/ So, not quite so much glass as the first one. I thought that was pretty neat that FCA will sell you an engine good for 1000 hp right out of the box.
OldTrucker Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 I just don't see the rise of the same excitement that came about with the original wheel standers. But I could be proved wrong!
Speedfreak Posted April 15, 2019 Posted April 15, 2019 I think it's way cool, drag racing needs something.
Jon Cole Posted April 25, 2019 Posted April 25, 2019 The latest rendering shows the car sans rear deck lid, replaced w/ fastback "glass", and engine moved back. Should be awesome, if it becomes reality.
Oldcarfan27 Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 At over 2 tons stock, that's a pretty heavy, fat car to be trying to launch that high for any extent of time. I'm sure they'll lighten it up a lot for exhibition, they'd have to, but it's sure a walrus of a car compared to the original. Is it just me, or does it seem the new cars just don't have that same raw, muscular look that the old pro stock racers had in spades?
