Not a hint but quiz 427 should have been a Chevy.  An L88 at best

I'm having a reeealll tough time with this one! What I think it SHOULD be is not it at all and I've about given up!

I tried different makes/models/origins, but no dice.

Here is the solution on the tough one. It is neither a GM or a FOMOCo but it is a Mopar. Beleave it or not this ugly (in my opinion) car is a 1979–1981 Dodge Magnum from Brazil.

I had it figured for some sort of MOPAR, but had no idea from where!

The diversity of US auto manufacturers who took North American models and built them in far flung places to the tastes of the local populations makes these quizzes very challenging.  Most European companies that built in other places seem to have just used the same domestic models without the adornments that the US builders used.

I had figured it for some sort of Dodge Dart concoction, but darn if I could nail exactly what it was. I even did a search for Brazilian Dodges, but this one didn't turn up interesting enough. 

I take it that "B" pillar is more of an add-on as the actual car was a true hardtop. It defeats the purpose of the design, but I guess they had to come up with something just to be "different".

Searchng with "Brasil" instead of "Brazil" will give you all the local sites.  Of course, it's all in Portugese, but thankfully don't need it to read a year and a model.
