It looks like a Simplified, Snap Kit, but the subject matter is just amazing. A single seat Racer, with Chain Drive. I don't like the wide wheels, at first glance, but everything else, Just Wow! I'll be figuring out how to get one of these bad boys soon. Here is where the link says they may be found. I have to do more reserach to see. https://www.dersockelshop.de/
CapSat 6 Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Neat! The only things that don’t seem to fit the design are the wheels and tires. I would change those. I might need one of these!
Can-Con Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 It ain't steampunk though, it's dieselpunk. Maybe the reviewer can't tell the difference.

Usually with a Victorian era setting. "Dieselpunk" is similar but with diesel power instead of steam. The settings of those storys usually resemble WW1 era.
stavanzer Posted May 28, 2019 Author Posted May 28, 2019 Yeah, I goofed. It is Dieselpunk. And despite the almost 3 figure Tag, I want one. The wheels and tires do not fit the 'look' of the car at all. But, it is a great looking racer.
misterNNL Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Shame all the writing is in another language and all parts are black. Difficult to see if appreciate.

I was thinking more along the lines of it was the person who wrote the article who goofed, they call it steampunk in the header.

Dieselpunk covers everything up to the '40s, so things like Doc Savage and Flash Gordon would fall under that category. There's also "atompunk" which is about 50's and 60s era futurism.
Platerpants Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 I want the Bulldog Kit but that price tag hurts. Hopefully they will eventually come down in price.
