aurfalien Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 Hi, I was eyeing this book, mainly as there seems to be few others Can any one comment on its coverage of early 60's Dino cars? https://www.amazon.com/Dino-V6-Ferrari-Brian-Long/dp/1904788394/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&me=&qid=1560344158&sr=8-1
afx Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 I have several Porsche books by Brian Long that are excellent. Not familiar with this book however.
Matt Bacon Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 I don't have that one, but I do have several of the books in that series and they're all pretty good, so I think it's a safe bet quality wise. Beyond that, I guess it depends what you're looking for -- reference pictures, narrative, technical history...? I have the Doug Nye "Dino" book which covers all the V6 Dino cars including Fi cars, street cars and even the Stratos to some extent. But that's definitely a comprehensive technical and competition history with some pictures, not an illustrated reference book. Anthony Curtis's Crowood Auto Classics book on the Dino is also good, and is available for $10 from Amazon marketplace sellers... HTH, best, M.
Gramps46 Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 These are the 2 I have and can recommend. Like Matt the Doug Nye book is excellent the other focuses on the racing Dinos.
BigTallDad Posted June 12, 2019 Posted June 12, 2019 Perhaps your local public library has a copy you could examine
aurfalien Posted June 12, 2019 Author Posted June 12, 2019 Thank you very much for all of your feedback. I'll try the library first to see.
