I've got one ordered to see what it's like then I'll decide on if I want a second one to repaint and do a full detail. I'll leave this one as is. It's supposed to arrive on Saturday. '58 is my favorite 50's Caddy and this is the only one in 1/24. Just released by JADA.

I've never seen a JADA that wasn't significantly oversized for 1/24, but you know what, this car is so huge that if it's normal JADA-sized, it might actually be 1/24, or even 1/25.

This model also has the least goofy wheels and tires I've ever seen on any JADA.

If I were you, I wouldn't worry about getting a second one. I think you can drive on with painting and detailing your first one. B)

BTW, I've seen some of this series at my local Walmart. They don't look horrible, but so far I haven't seen one that's of a car I wanted.

I agree Rich, most JADA models don't appeal to me for their goofy shapes but quite a few are spot on with the Mint counterparts I have such as the '56 Chevy, '60 Impala, '53 Chevy Bel Air & pick up truck, '61 Impala, '59 Caddy and the '39 Chevy Sedan delivery.. the '56 cv. is one of my favorites, it's pretty much dead nuts on FM's version. So much so that I think they may have used FM's old tooling.

The Cadillac is certainly interesting.  I have pretty much ignored the Jada diecast but could be tempted by the Cady and the Chevy looks pretty nice too.

Gene,

When  you have the Cadillac in hand would you please let us know if the top is removable or not.  I sure would appreciate it.

I can assure you that it is--IF you own a hacksaw or a Dremel with cutoff wheel, anyway. B):D

I believe I own a diecast M2 '57 Chevy 210 hardtop with a separate plastic top.
