Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted July 7, 2019 Author Posted July 7, 2019 (edited) Got some color on the interior but I need to do a bit of touch up. Does anyone know a good way to do a wash on white? I want to bring out the detail of the seats. Maybe white with a touch of gray and a little more gray where the seat back meets the seat bottom? Edited July 7, 2019 by Perspective Customs

Russell C's car has a pretty straight roof, and Jay's has a pretty straight body - too bad you couldn't combine the good parts . Looking forward to seeing the finished car! One thing that bugs me about the promo and the Revell 1/32 kit - too much overhang in the front edge of the roof, making the windshield too vertical; wonder if they used the same 1/10 master? Quickie photoshop of a fix; may be more trouble than it's worth: cut it atop the A-pillars, move it back about 3/32" or 1/8", and trim the excess. Nice idea but as you said, may be more trouble than it's worth, or more like more time and effort than I'm willing and able to put in to it.
misterNNL Posted July 9, 2019 Posted July 9, 2019 you are on the right track for the detail wash on those white seats. I would use a little acrylic gray wash thinned with water. You can always ad more till you get the look you're after,
Eric Macleod Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 I have had the privilege of driving one of these in 1:1 scale, albeit a coupe, not the convertible. You just wouldn't believe how well made these cars are. You are really doing justice to the real thing with your model. I'm waiting for updates with interest!

His son Ed Fluck III makes mostly parts for Hot Rods and Customs . Thanx .. Drag City Casting is the name of Ed's business. He is a member here, or find them on Facebook (very active there). Sadly, I don't think he has any of his dad's product available. He sells more than Hot Rod and custom stuff. Actually, as the name implies, his focus is drag/gasser stuff. Rather than me hijacking this thread further, follow the link to his catalog here... https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/member_dealer_directory/drag-city-casting-/
Barry Wolk Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 That's my car. Someone started a resin model of it, but he never finished it. GLM made a model of my car, top up and top down. 1

mrm Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 (edited) Such a beautiful vehicle. I wish that model companies would make a model of this iconic car instead of making new tooling for cars that have been issued time and time again. This build is off to righteous start. Can’t wait to see it develop into a finished model. Edited January 12, 2022 by mrm
Oldcarfan27 Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 Re: wash on the seats. Maybe try an off-white wash just to hint the shading. You want to slightly emphasize the material, not make it look dirty! A little goes a long way.
Eric Macleod Posted January 15, 2022 Posted January 15, 2022 There's one I would love to get my hands on! I really enjoyed seeing your car at St. Johns...or was it back in the Meadowbrook days?

This is a project I really need to get back to. Thanks!
